Can anyone give me any hints? On the black shelf I set up the can of beer and the cd case and hit the chime. It says "I can almost feel the dead guy's spirit". After that it just says it's a peaceful sound.
The beer has to be cold. If it warms up put it in the fridge for a while. The cd case needs a cd in it. You also need lit incense and a spirit cube, and a picture of the guy's girlfriend in a picture frame.

What is the actual plot to this game?
Who the hell are you and why are you locked in a room that is filled only with items that will inevitably lead to your overly-elaborate escape?
Who keeps a screwdriver in a well hidden safe, then records a dancing man pointing to where it is and leaves the recording lying around in the room that the safe is in?
This was great except that you CAN'T PLAY IT IN ENGLISH!!!! I even clicked on "English" under it and all I got was Japanese text. Love the music, though.

Thanks for the hints, makk. I managed to figure the rest out by my self. That was twice as cool as the crimson room! And the ending ruled.
Oh yeah, the picture isn't needed. It says it's unneccisary when I tried it.

I think you need to possess the beer when lifting the trash can. Or some item or other.
You cant lift the garbage can until you examine the paper with the hair.
