I'm pretty sure the English subtitles were just made up without any understanding of the Japanese dialogue. But still, there's no way you could make Spider-Man piloting a giant, transforming robot right.
One wonders why they didn't use Iron Man. That would make some sense, at least.
Executive: "He's a superhero from America. He's got the powers of a spider. He can climb up walls and shoot webs and he's very strong."
Producer: "Wow! He sounds cool. What does his giant robot do?"
Executive: "He doesn't have one."
Producer: "He... doesn't... have one? Does he grow many times his own size, then?"
Executive: "Er, no. He's just normal sized."
Producer: "Huh? I don't understand."
Executive: "He doesn't have a giant robot and he stays the size of a normal human."
Producer: "Whoa! This is way too complicated! You're making my head hurt!"
Executive: "Look, it's simple. He's really strong and quick, and he defeats his enemies with his spider abilities alone, with no giant robot or enormous growth."
Producer: "OK. But he's got a car, right? A car that he flies into the giant robot to pilot it?"
Executive: "THERE IS NO ROBOT! There's not even a car!"
Producer: "But how can he defeat the giant monsters without an equally giant robot?"
Executive: "There are no giant monsters. Most of the enemies are human-size, too."
Producer: "Whoa! Whoa! Don't talk so fast! You're giving me a headache!"
...okaaaay. Spiderman can turn into a mech, and some guy tries to dominate the world with anime. What in the hell?
Oh, wait. My bad. He just PILOTS a huge mech. Okay.
...wait, wtf?
Wahhhhhhh?

First its swinging from batmen, and now this. What the hell happens to the media when it leaves our country?
I think Japan's trying to ruin comics, so they can dominate the world with manga. (although, I like manga and comics the same)
Toei Executive: "Hey! We rights to Spider-Man!"

"Yeah yeah yeah woah!
Yeah yeah yeah woah!"
Good thing they put that in subtitles for me.
lol @ bargaintuan, your comment was more entertaining for me than that entire show.
