DAMMIT! Why do In4mador related links have to be so... linkless? Here's the link, Brad, if you could fix that, I'd appreciate:
Interesting, I hadn't seen that in a long time. I am old.
Ok, 6 years is not really a landmark anniversary, but we missed last year, and 10 is too far. Yay!
More versions of In4mador:
Fun facts time:
-The first commenter was... Planettroy. And in pure In4madorian tradition, he made a comment unrelated to the link which started an unrelated-fest (a minor one tough) which spanned 2 different links.
-That comment? A more elaborate (and grammatically correct) version of something you've probably read lately: first!!!1. In 2002. Congrats, Troy, you made In4mador way ahead of its time by doing what's popular now. Score.
-Speaking of being ahead of our time: the first link was posted by Anonymous, and the fourth link is one laughing at Scientology. Take that, 4chan (b. 2003).
-For a brief moment, in September of 2002, In4mador was apparently the #1 result for "PORN IN JAPAN" on Yahoo! China. Remember how we were so enthusiastic to take over fake forums in Forumwarz? Let's put as much effort to reconquer that title, and other search results for "PORN IN JAPAN" are fucked.
Wait, forget that thing about Planettroy being the first commenter. He's only the first commenter on the first thing to post, in 2004. The first commenter seems to be Brad admitting he's slow when it comes to film-related puns:
Saturday, September 14, 2002 "Fetish Map"
Now that sounds like a link! Too bad, it's not archived and the original link is now a domain for sale.
Yeah, it was a long time ago, but I still remember no one commented on the first link, so I wanted to make my mark.
I found this site through searching for "generators" not Japanese porn tho.
ifnord: try searching for that page in general, when you click on the link it looks for it on a very specific date.
Planettroy: I found it by looking for church sign generators. Hurray for generators!
I remember always going back and checking out all of the links that got posted before I joined up and began contributing. I never realized how many people used to post here who don't anymore
Here's some rambling:
When I started In4mador back in 2002(?), I originally wanted it to be a multi-faceted blog. Where anyone could add their own entries and then people could create their own filters or views.
I failed at that, I couldn't figure it out how to do it properly, and I ran out of time so I switched it to a core group of moderator friends of mine.
Then del.icio.us came along and tagging was what I should have imagined for organizing links & entries. Then Digg came along and is what I should have thought of for voting and promotion of links & entries.
So basically In4mador's pretty much been one failure after another for me personally. But I think the links are mostly good and the comments are pretty fun to read.
This site is indeed truely great, I've been browsing it regularly for nearly 5 years and it gives me unmitigated joy most days.
And the best thing is, I just pass off all the link as my own when I'm showing them to friends! It's win win!
haha metallica you've totally just described me.
In4mador is my source of entertainment on the internet and has been for just about as long as it's been around.
But i dont show off in4mador as much as some of the better links. and I dont exactly give credit to they guys that find those links.
That's the beauty of the internet.
I showed up in 2003 from Stripcreator so I would have another outlet to call Brad a child molester.
i've been here since 6th november, 2003 when the church sign generator
was linked to in a b3ta newsletter.
it was a long time after that when i started submitting links and making comments though. also, in4mador is anything but a failure. it's one of my first stops for internet mirth!
Man, back in the days of Gabe. I used to be on the stripcreator back then. But I quickly realized my creative juices are mostly solidified.
