And I'm pretty sure none of this has much to do with actual 11 dimensional theory anyway. The dimensions 4-11 (time not being included as an actual dimension in a lot of theorists ideas) aren't explained, they're just there to explain the relative weakness of gravity compared to other forces...

My main objection was to the "nobody knows anything" poster. I have read a lot about the attempt to unify the forces into one theory and it's fascinating stuff.

Dimentions 5-10 are theoretical in nature, but this is not what really concerns me. What concers me is the (over) use of a theme, or pattern, when no physical evidence remains. I'm not saying it's not O.K. to speculate. I fully understand the need for the progression of ideas to continue even if you are unsure of the exact means to the end, but one simply needs to keep in mind the relativity of all things. I prefer the 7th dimention, though I cannot say I honestly believe in the theories' process.

...The theories' process after the description 4th dimention, that is.
