I dont see how this could be view as negative to Americans or Chritianity, if you actually read the whole thing. A little strange, yes, but you got to think about the time it is written in. The 1970's... I think they were a little late on this.. Ofcource, I wasnt around in the 70's so maybe there is some connection there...
