Anyone else find this sad? Some of the most historic places on Earth and they're showing off their child playing Nintendo there? Heathrow Airport, ok, but the rest... *sigh*
I dunno, it seemed like a cute addition to the somewhat-overdone genre of "pictures of random person doing random activity in famous places all over the world". Kind of like if the Roaming Gnome was endorsing Nintendo instead of Travelocity.

Kids want to have fun, not look at the decaying buildings built by people now dead. It's not that sad.
I thought it was very interesting. It's sort of sad -- he's in front of Stonehenge! So amazing!
But to a six year old a Gameboy is more supernatural than any arrangement of rocks are. And I can't really say he's wrong.
It's cool, but nowhere near as awesome as
