I think it's implied that they took a frame from a movie, folded it up, and took a picture, then removed it, took another film from a movie, folded it up..etc, and edited in audio.

I think the way they did it was tons and tons of origami animation with blue colored paper, to make it bluescreen. Or green, it doesn't really matter.

I was a little to high to watch that link. It terrified me. Well done though.
I can only watch this for 3 minutes max before I get too weirded out.
This is inspiring. Makes me want to whip out the 16mm and try out some pixelation stuff again.
That's like watching some of the idents from MTV in the late 90s. A complete mind trip mish-mash of film, but yet, compelling.
What I watched of it was pretty cool, but in the long run my short attention span got the best of me
