I did a few Fantasy Fests in Key West with a band called Calabash, (who played FF weekend for many years) at Sloppy Joe's, on Duval Street. It's a very interesting weekend. Vendors with fresh rolled cigars and Cuban bucce, Jamaican pastries, beer, more beer... There's beer, too. They have a parade that's very well done, and drunk naked parades go, and of course, all of those airbrushed titties everywhere. It starts to lose it's glitter at about 3:00 A.M. when you have to walk around the clusters of beer soaked, paint smudged, half naked college chickies bazooka barfing on each other's knees, as you head home, though. To be fair, it's easily as out of hand as Mardi Gras, as parties go, and one really should head down to Sloppy Joe's and the Keys at least once.
