Don't Copy That Floppy
"Classic anti-piracy propaganda from 1992,produced by the "Software Publishers Association" (SPA) as a campaign to "educate" people on the effects of piracy. Featuring an orginal rap single written by MC Hart (and Ilene Rosenthal)."

I love this.
Ilene Rosenthal is da bomb.
So is the joke that his name is DP?
My hero.
Here's how the meeting went:
"We need to get a way to get people to stop stealing our software."
"Who steals? Anyone? Anyone?"
"Uh...black people."
"We'll make a rap song!"
And that, my friends, is why you never hear about inner city youths pirating software.
I'm so glad this rap song was successful and software companies were able to make billions of dollars. Could you imagine the dystopia we'd be living in if they had all packed it in back in 92 because kids copied floppies?
I was forced to sit through 3 HOURS of a meeting on software copy protection, and there wasn't one fly rhyme or beat in the joint.
I Never Thought Of It That Way
All of my software was legitimately purchased. However, I did steal this computer.
