When I realized you could move AND attack during the same turn, the game was so much easier.
AI Stupidity: when you recruit, the AI does the same...
I went through all the painful action scenes, just to be rewarded by a "good job" at the end, plus a direct return at the main screen.

I've beaten it as all three characters. Pretty easy really. It was still fun, though.
