All of this started when sitting around with a co-worker talking about how, when we were kids, we didn't have any cell phones or pagers like the kids today. Then he mentioned that it is now easier for parents to keep an eye on their kids and the issue of human imbedded microchips came up. At first I didn't believe it and now I do.
I know chipping pets has been going on for a while now and is generally a good idea. I don't think there are too many chipped humans walking around just yet but it's probably only a matter of time.
Well, apparently, the first chipped human was Professor Kevin Warwick, Director of Cybernetics at a university in the UK, who received the first chip, 2 centimeters in length, on August 24, 1998.
