Lileks is fantastic. It's been a few years since I've read his site, but he's been writing about retro subjects (like Art Frahm pinups or old company logos) since before it was cool.
I recommend his books, too – the one on cookbooks is outstanding.
And I hate to be one of those people, but all this stuff is old. He posted the Art Frahm article to his site
over ten years ago! You know it's good if people are still getting a kick out of it. ;-)
I feel that he must have missed a golden opportunity by making these in the '50s rather than waiting and starting a LiveJournal club about it. You know that people would go for that. I mean replace the underwear with diapers and give the women tails, open a shop in second life and you're an entrepreneur.
Was loose underwear common in the 50's?
Fascinating. Celery, anyone?

I coulda sworn this was already on In4mador.
I know I've seen it before.
I felt that too, but it didn't come up as repost. . .
