Knowing in4mador, I will probably get an answer, but how much does air weigh?

Three times less than Aerogel.

But wow, this stuff looks awesome!
Another question:
What happens if you eat it?

Aka, not very much (from
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Air#Density_and_mass)

The mean mass of water vapor is estimated as 1.27 x 1016 kg and the dry air mass as 5.1352 ±0.0003 x 1018 kg."

If you ate some? I'd imagine you'd get ... glassy ... *laughs* Get it? Gassy? Glassy?

Gods. I need a life.

I imagine eating this stuff would be similar to eating insulation.

Feb 25th, 2006

Eating it probably would make you gassy, which would finally allow you to be able to blow smoke out your a$$.

...and holds an unbelievable 15 entries in the Guinness Book of World Records, including best insulator and lowest density solid.

I am convinced that the above statement is a myth. I see the '15 records' fact quoted often on the internet, but I can't find any evidence that it has more than the two used in the example.

I can imagine it having 15 patents though.

At this same site you can also buy uranium and stuff.

Mar 3rd, 2006

Tim, it probably does hold those records, but only in the Guinness World Record database. They don't print all the records in the database in any edition of the book.

United Nuclear is the best place to buy your mad scientist supplies online. Need uranium? United Nuclear! Need the brain of a chimpanzee? United Nuclear! Want your 2006 Ford Exploder to run on pure Hydrogen fuel? UNITED NUCLEAR! Need the Muslims and the Jews to get along? Fuck you. No soup for you.
