Yeah, got 8 rather quickly. I've found over the years here that i'm good at the games nobody else is, and bad at the games people actually like to play

I've read the easiest strategy is to make "knight moves" across the board.
At least that's how Bob Seger beat it.

meh.. after 5 minutes, i can only get 7.. and 5 minutes is my attention span limit.
I somehow solved this in three tries.
Was this supposed to be extremely difficult? Because if it is, I'm going to totally brag about this forever.

I think there is more than one solution.
Check Wikipedia to see all 12 solutions, not counting rotations and reflections...
took me a bit, but easy once you figure out the pattern.
