So I sent this to my (roleplaying veteran) friend, and this is what he wrote back (quickly translated by me):
"According to the numbers, Boromir is a level 11-15 warrior with a rather poor strenght bonus for this level (16 or 17), but given the rarity of magical objects, it's possible that he just put everything in constitution to have as many hitpoints. What's more, he isn't very optimised gift (or talent? Whatever the official English term is)-side, he doesn't even seem to have Power Attack, which he would have used with every hit given the orcs' weak AC, and he doesn't even have Improved Initiative since he always begins after the orcs.
Does he always average around 27.5 orc kills?
Yeah. My Boromir has taken down 2.71x10^4 already. If you have any battle music to play in the background, I'm open to it.

In short, Boromir is really under-optimised."
I think any of the encounter music from Oblivion suits it rather well, especially since the lack of context prevents any sort of drama
