These kids are ripping off Johnny and June in the best possible way.
Love it, it was stuck in my head all day after one listen.
Mr. Sharpe must have the same hairdresser as Russell Brand!
i was going to moan and groan that a music video got front paged.. until i got the goosebumps.
yeah I know, right? it's... amazing.
I was in the same boat as fknryn, until I listened through. Now I'm gonna go design a seal of approval so I can give it to this
It's pretty much fantastic.
Her voice is something else.
Not every link on in4mador has to be something I like. Personally, I could care less about half the games here but that's ok, everyone else likes them. All I'm saying is, I could stand to see more music. I like exposure, I should say.
it's nice to play this track every once in a while as i hunt down cattle rustlers in red dead redemption.
I have learned that Edward Sharpe has something in common with Jethro Tull, he's in the band name but not in the band. It's Alex Ebert with the wild hair.
YouTube has a clip of them doing this song on Letterman. Jade Castrinos sure is a bundle of energy!
i like this an' all but i wasn't blown away as much as i was expecting after reading these comments.
I was. Well, probably not as much as when I discovered some other bands (which, since you guys made me realise we do lack music, I will try to remember to post someday), but that was pretty good.
I like it. I would like it more without the Indie Horns.
has nothing to do with jethro tull.
old front man of Ima Robot.
What he meant, I think, is that "Edward Sharpe" doesn't exist as a person, just like there was nobody named Jethro Tull, or Alice Cooper (until the guy changed his name)
ooh, i like ima robot. didn't notice the connection there.
There was somebody named Jethro Tull, an 18th century agriculturist. But what he meant is that the band isn't headed by him (obviously), just as Edward Sharpe isn't the singer of Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros.
Well doesn't isn't did ;)
sorry then :) i was going to make a comparison to ziggy stardust so i guess that we're all on the same page ..just different books
jethro = before my time.
Yeah.. I don't really see the mass orgasm appeal going on here. It was pretty nifty, but nothing amazing.
Meh. If I want big band folk-pop I'll just listen to Belle & Sebastian.
I just learned Eddie and friends are coming to my town (Phoenix). Maybe I'll get to meet them.
He's coming to Phoenix? Cool. Personally I prefer 40 Day Dream by the same band.
I got last minute tickets to their show last night even though I only knew this one song. Thanks in4mador!
We could all learn a thing or two about crowd-diving from their antics.
yeah, I saw them on july 5th, and Alex just sat down in the middle of the crowd at one point
I finally showed this to one of my buds, and he was like, ew, it's just dirty hippie music!
Guess there's no accounting for taste. He never liked Monty Python either.
