I think this makes the site seem much more legitimate now. I no longer feel like I'm scrawling links in a dark alley and hoping other homeless people will tell me that they like it.
It's not a link BTW, anything listed under 'In4mador', with the url www.in4mador.com, it comes up with text instead of a link. There's only been three In4mador links including this one.
However, they are all squashed up in the top left-hand corner of the page one on top of the other. So I can only see the avatar of the last person who posted.
Photobucket seems to work nicely for linking images. I don't know how to link stuff in comments and I don't want to humiliate myself by doing it wrong, so just type Photobucket between some W's and a com.
You can edit your avatars on the preferences page.

Hmmm... I'm actually having problems updating my preferences. In that it will not let me.
Taking bets on who will have the first nsfw avatar...
I should also say that NSFW avatars will be deleted and the users punched.

Hmm, I've tested the avatars out on Safari, Firefox and IE 6 and they work fine.
What may be happening is your stylesheets could be cached so they'll need to refresh before you see the avatars.
Now that's just nifty-riffic. I wonder if mine works?

To shrink my images, I use Irfanview. It's fairly easy to use, but can do some hardcore stuff.
