He's extremely patient; even when I was having financial problems & couldn't make the rent on time, he sends me care packages on the holidays, and often thanks me for keeping my apartment so clean.
Plus my rent has only gone up $10 in three years, and is still terribly cheap considering the area I live.
I had a landlord who never returned my sec deposit. ahhh, landlords like that should be shot. No questions asked

Care packages are the best!
This was cool. I used the NYC's gov page that that was mentioned on the blog to look up code violations of my childhood apartment home.
Between that and the pic of the bathroom patch job featuring a pile of cement, that sure brought back some memories.
