I drew some eyes... which were then turned into the balls of a wang by someone else.

Amusing. I was drawing at the same time as another stripcreator user, not sure who though.

I got bored though because every time the board cleared, someone would just draw scribbles over the entire screen, making it impossible to draw anything else.

Maybe I'll try this again when the kids are in their beds.

I love this. I've spent time drawing wangs and writing curses as well as sabotaging the attempts of others to do the same.

It's things like this that leave little doubt in my mind, that the free and open exchange of information made possible by the internet, is sometimes a stupid idea.

It's never a stupid idea. It's simply a matter of balance.

You take the positives with the negatives when it comes to things like freedom of speech & expression.

From Ana to Zoophiles.alt.binary.pictures, the internet has offered thousands of things that are stupid ideas. Just because people have the right to put 'em out there, doesn't mean they're not stupid. Examples include the original "Hamsterdance.com", Maddox's "The Best Web Page In The Universe", and people buying domain names to re-sell them at exorbitant prices. All legitimate. All within freedom of speech and expression. And all of them stupid.

IMHO, of course... ;)

And yet all of those examples aren't nearly as stupid as the post that contained them.

I dunno... The idea of exchanging stupid ideas seems a little stupid to me. But hey, not everything on the 'net is designed to enlighten. I'll concede that stupidity has a place on the internet. Just don't expect me to keep my mouth shut about its stupidity, especially in a discussion forum. After all, I have first amendment rights as well... ;)
